Inquiry Learning

At Lysterfield Primary School we are creating confident, connected, actively involved, life long learners. To cope with the demands of the 21st century, students need to know more than core subjects. They need to know how to use their knowledge and skills-by thinking critically, applying knowledge to new situations, analysing information, comprehending new ideas, communicating, collaborating, solving problems and making decisions. The Inquiring classroom is a place where teachers support their students to investigate questions, problems, passions and interest about the work both around and within them. In an inquiring classroom, the student is researcher – both in collaboration with others and as an individual.
