Prep Transition & School Tours
Our Prep Transition Program is the beginning of your child's journey to school, where they will have many opportunities to learn about Lysterfield Primary and begin settling into our school environment.
2027 Prep Enrolments
All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government primary school.

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Prep 2027 at Lysterfield Primary School from 20 April 2026– 31 July 2026.
To Apply to our School:
Visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form by Friday 31st July 2026. If you would prefer to submit a paper application form, please contact us.
You will be notified of the outcome of your application on Monday 3rd August. If you receive an offer of placement, you should accept this offer online using the information provided by our school by Friday 28th August 2026. You can accept offers from 1 school only.
Enrolment applications submitted after 31st July 2026 will be processed by the school as they are received, in accordance with the Department of Education's Placement Policy.

School Tours
The best way to learn about our wonderful school is to take a tour and see for yourself.
Whilst we host after school tours, we strongly encourage any prospective parents to attend a tour during school hours to see our dedicated teachers and curious students in action.
