Our Prep Transition Program is the beginning of your child's journey to school, where they will have many opportunities to learn about Lysterfield Primary and begin settling into our school environment.
2027 Prep Enrolments
Victorian Government Schools use an online system for new enrolments called VicStudents. The process and timeline below will apply for children starting Prep in 2027. All government primary schools in Knox will follow this timeline and process to support Prep enrolments for the 2027 school year.

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Prep 2026 at Lysterfield Primary School from 20 April 2026 – 31 July 2026.
To Apply to our School:
Visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form by Friday 31 July 2026. If you would prefer to submit a paper application form, please contact us.
You will be notified of the outcome of your application on Monday 3 August 2026. If you receive an offer of placement, you should accept this offer online using the information provided by our school by Friday 28 August 2026. You can accept offers from 1 school only.
Enrolment applications submitted after 31st July 2026 will be processed by the school as they are received, in accordance with the Department of Education's Placement Policy.
